Geeti is a great teacher, an amazing choreographer, and a beautiful person inside and out. She’s an asset to her community, highly intuitive, wise well beyond her years. I highly recommend Geeti as a teacher and choreographer.

- Shahrzad Khorsandi, Pioneer in the field of Persian dance and author of the book “The Art of Persian Dance”

Geeti is a genuinely caring and loving teacher who imparts to her students a strong sense of passion for dance, discipline in training, and cultural awareness around the dance forms being taught. Over the years I have worked with her, I have found that she is always respectful and honoring of the dance traditions and lineages she studied from and always makes sure to verbalize this edict to her students. Geeti has an ability to create a focused and professional environment for her students, while also maintaining a friendly and nurturing community spirit.

-Miriam Peretz, Internationally celebrated dance instructor, performer and director of Nava collective

I sought out Geeti's classes because I wanted to learn the Sharhzad technique of Persian dance and I was amazed to learn I had access to such a knowledgeable and talented teacher right here in Austin! I loved being guided by Geeti's rigorous teaching style, encouraging community organization, and keen attention to detail. From studying with Geeti I have gained a deeper understanding of Iranian dance, greater technical ability, and many heart-based connections to other dancers.

When I was preparing to compete at the Miss Florida competition, the preliminary to the Miss America Competition, I did heavy research on Persian dance choreographers in the U.S. and was so impressed when I came across Geeti's work. The best part was actually getting to know her as a person! I have been training in dance for 20 years and I know I've found a great choreographer when they shape their choreography to highlight the strengths of that individual dancer performing. I was blown away with Geeti's emotional intelligence and ability to understand my strengths so quickly! This is by far my favorite talent piece I have performed on stage and I am forever grateful to Geeti for helping my vision come to life, for encouraging me to embrace my Persian roots, for educating me on classical Persian dance, and for working with my crazy life schedule as I flew from Florida to Texas to work with her!

-Leila Sabet, Miss Florida 2021 Second Runner Up and Creator of the Social Impact Initiative Lift & Be Lifted

I am so glad I took that class and I am so glad you were as understanding as you were. Your praxis worked with the flow of body and spirit. I needed one area of respite just to feel human. And it was Classical Persian Dance with you.

I honestly believe if I had not have had some sense of regaining my dignity in your class from 2012-2013, I would have never survived all of these nearly 10 years of struggle. Thank you again. I still use some movement to manage the trauma and to walk through and attempt to reclaim and reconnect to continue on."
